Richard G. Olson, 54, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at home in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, IN, Rick worked as a salesman and retired from Kimball Midwest. He was a graduate of Elmhurst High School class of 1977 and a member of the Webster Lake Muskie Club. Rick enjoyed playing Santa for many years, was an avid Notre Dame and NASCAR fan and his greatest passion was fishing. Surviving are his wife, Elise Olson; daughter, Kristen (Remy) Coles of Huntertown, IN; son, Tucker Olson of Fort Wayne; daughter, Anna Olson of Fort Wayne; grandchildren, Cameran and Aiden Coles; brothers, Michael (Kathleen) Olson of Fort Wayne, Jim Olson of Clermont, FL, Fred Olson of Angola, Joe Olson and Chuck Olson both of Fort Wayne; sisters, Mimi (John) McArdle of Austin, TX, Phyllis (Jim) Millhouse of Fort Wayne, Vicky Gates of Coldwater, MI, Patty (Bill) Riveria of Fort Wayne and sister-in-law, Jan Olson of Fort Wayne. Rick was preceded in death by his parents Richard B. and Olympia Olson and brother, John Olson. Funeral Service is Saturday, 2:00 pm, May 25, 2013 at D. O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road with calling one hour prior. Rev. Jan Funk officiating. Calling will also be Friday, May 24, 2013 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & Friday, May 24, 2013 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial in St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
