Rachel Marie (Allen) Amstutz, 31, went to be with Jesus on Saturday, April 18, 2009. Left behind was her husband, Scott of 10 1/2 years of marriage, Aleah 6, Bruce 4 and Caynah 2 weeks. Rachel's parents are Wayne and Carolyn Allen. Her brothers are Josh, married to Lisa (Paul) Allen and Caleb Allen all of Fort Wayne. Rachel grew up in Indonesia for 13 years serving with her family as missionaries. She graduated from South Side High School in 1995. Rachel was a member at Pathway, serving in KidCity and leading worship in the Tree House Theatre. She worked at Fire Police City County Federal Credit Union at several positions for 7 years, ending up as Human Resource Assistant. She also was a Mary Kay Consultant for 4 years. Rachel's hobbies were raising her three wonderful miracles, updating our family blog and going to her ladies Bible study in Leo. Rachel most of all enjoyed her relationship with Christ. Our hearts are broken, but our hope is in Christ. First Thessalonians 4:13-18 says, "Brothers, we do not want you to be ignorant about those who fall asleep, or to grieve like the rest of men, who have no hope. We believe that Jesus died and rose again and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. According to the Lord's own work, we tell you that we who are still alive, who are left till the coming of the Lord, will certainly not precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage each other with these words." We will miss you. Memorial Service is 6:30 PM, Friday April 24, 2009 at Pathway Community Church, 11910 Shearwater Run, (east of Lima Rd on the corner of Carroll Rd. & Shearwater Run) with calling 1 hour prior. Pastor Ron Williams officiating. Calling also Thursday, April 23, 2009, 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm at the church. Arrangements by D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 E. Dupont Rd. Memorials may be made to the The Children's Trust c/o Pathway Community Church. To sign the online guest book, go to
