Reverend Monsignor Edward I. Hession, 90, born to eternal life, Tuesday, February 14, 2006 at St Anne Home in Fort Wayne. Born to life on September 8, 1915 in Lafayette, IN, he was a Roman Catholic Priest retiring in 1986. He graduated from St. Mary School in Lafayette, IN, St. Joseph College in Rensselaer, IN, St. Gregory Seminary in Cincinnati, OH and Mount Saint Mary's in Norwood, OH. He was ordained on June 7, 1941 at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Fort Wayne by Bishop John F. Noll. On July 3, 1941, he was appointed assistant for St. Patrick Church in Fort Wayne. On June 7, 1957, he was appointed Pastor of the newly established St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Fort Wayne and on August 25, 1964, he was appointed Fort Wayne Deanery Moderator of Council of Catholic Women. He was a Master of Ceremonies of the TV Mass in Fort Wayne. He celebrated 50 years as a priest on June 7, 1991. In October, 1995 he was invested as a Monsignor. Survivors include sister, Rosalia H. Brandon of Indianapolis; also many nieces and nephews; and the entire St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church Community. Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Friday at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Rd with calling from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Bishop John D'Arcy officiating. Calling is also from 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the church with Reception of the body/Welcoming service at 12:30 p.m., Rosary at 4 p.m. and Vigil at 7 p.m. Burial in Catholic Cemetery.
