Joseph W. Nicoski Obituary


JOSEPH W. NICOSKI, 85, of Fort Wayne, died Saturday, Sept. 17, 2005, at Parkview Hospital. Born Aug. 27, 1920, in Superior, Wis., he worked for Construction Laborers Union 213 and he also was retired from the Railroad in Wisconsin. He was a member of V.F.W. Post 857, American Legion Post 82, C.B.I. Club, 12th Armored Division Association and St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. He was a World War II U.S. Army Veteran. Survived by daughter, Cathy (Robert) heffner of Fort Wayne; sons, Allen Nicoski of Fort Wayne and Richard (Nan) Nicoski of Ft. Paul, Minn.; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lillian Nicoski; and sisters, Frances Wunder and Helen Thuman. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4916 Trier Road, with calling one hour prior to Mass. Calling is also from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at d.O. McComb & Sons Maplewood park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Tuesday. Burial at highland Park Cemetery, fort Wayne, with Military Graveside Rites conducted by American Legion Post 82. Memorials to St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.
