H. Paul Haberly Sr., 96, died Monday, May 23, 2005 at The Towne House Health Center in Fort Wayne. He was born in Fort Wayne, IN. He graduated from Howe Military School, North Side High School, Trinity College, Hartford, Connecticut, University of Miami, Coral Gables, Florida, Business, Finance & Economics. His business experience include; Director & Treasurer-First Federal Savings & Loan Ass'n. 1937 to 1955, President & Director 1955 to 1967, Chairman of Board Of Directors & Director 1967 to 1969, Former Director Perfection Biscuit Company, Director Fort Wayne Zoological Society, Inc., Past Director-Federal Home Loan Bank Board of Indianapolis, Past Member Committee on Federally Chartered Ass'ns. U.S. Savings & Loan League 1964 & 1965, Member Committee on the Federal Home Bank System U.S. Savings & Loan League, Past Chairman this District-Indiana Savings & Loan League for 2 successive years, Past Director of: United Chest Council, United Chest Council Long Range Planning Committee, Downtown Fort Wayne Ass'n. Paul "Skip" (Carol) Haberly Jr. of Waterloo, IN; daughter, Mrs. Mary Louise (Richard) Fisher of Fremont, IN; granddaughters, Laura Louise (Roland) Hamilton, Melissa Michaela, (Brian) Wray both of Fort Wayne; grandsons, Andrew Paul (Amy) Haberly of Daphne, AL, James Dean (Melissa) Haberly of Fort Wayne; great-grandchildren, Austin, Cameron, Benjamin, Nicholas, Elizabeth, Jake, Joshua. Services 11am Friday at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave. with calling 1 hour prior. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery. Memorials to Fort Wayne Children's Zoo, Shriner's Children's Hospital or The Chapel.
