Ada L. Goodson, 91, passed away Friday, October 03, 2008 at Woodview Health Care in Fort Wayne. Born in Abingdon, VA, she was a waitress for 30 years. She enjoyed attending all the religious services and activities at Woodview Health Care where staff treated her like family. Survivors include daughters, Viena Sides, and Leta Gilbert, daughter-in-law, Sharon Goodson all of Fort Wayne; sisters, Hazel Wright, Trula Harless, and Lucille Blair all of Abingdon, VA; 8 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Goodson in 1996; son, Henry Goodson in 1995; brothers, Alfred, Floyd, Wiley June, and Orville Bott; sisters; Minnie Sperry, Gladys Burge, and Geneva Miller. Service is 2 p.m. Tuesday at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue with calling one hour prior. Calling also from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens. Memorials to Woodview Healthcare Center "Activities Fund."
