Gary S. Mamer, 66, passed away Tuesday, April 14, 2009, at Peabody Retirement Community in North Manchester. He was born in Kankakee, IL, received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Purdue University and was an employee of BAE Systems for 30 years and was a member of The Chapel. He was a devoted husband, a loving father & grandfather with a passionate heart for the Lord. Surviving is his wife, Sheroll, whom he married October 3, 1970; daughter, Wendy & Jim Collins and granddaughter Emily, daughter, Heather & Grant Richison; grandson, Mitchell & granddaughter Carley; brother David (Gloria) Mamer of Woodridge, IL. Celebration of Life Service 11 am Saturday at The Chapel, 2505 W. Hamilton Road. Calling 3 to 5 & 7 to 9 pm Friday at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road.
