Filaret A. Derloshon, 89, passed away Tuesday, September 25, 2012. Born in Ft. Wayne, Filaret worked as a Tool and Die Maker with Joslyn /Slater Steel for over 35 years, retiring in 1988. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed watching Notre Dame Football and IU Basketball. He is survived by his wife, Helene Derloshon; daughter, Denise (Tom) Rogers of Ft. Wayne; sons, David (Angela) Derloshon and Douglas Derloshon both of Fort Wayne; and eight grandchildren. Filaret was preceded in death by his sisters, Mary Bendorfeanu, Olympia Olson, parents, Sylvestre and Lucretia Derloshon and two other infant sisters. Mass of Christian Burial is 2 pm, Saturday, September 29, 2012 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2213 Brooklyn Ave. with calling one hour prior. Fr. Tim Wrozek presiding. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Friday at D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Rd. with a Rosary at 3:30 pm. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens.
