Eleanor M. (Harber) Hartman of Fort Wayne, IN, died Friday, August 3, 2007 surrounded by her family. Born in Yoder, IN, she was the daughter of Clarence and Selena Harber. Ellie was a graduate of Central Catholic High School and worked as a surgical technician at Lutheran Hospital for 20 years. She was very active in the St. Vincent de Paul Society at Queen of Angels Parish. Ellie always had a zest for life and liked to be "where the action was." She loved people. Survivors include husband, George E. Hartman of Fort Wayne; sons, Stephen (Charlotte) Hartman of Hickory, NC; David Hartman of Ashland, MA, and Gary Hartman of Fort Wayne; daughters, Susan (Eric) Jahn of Grayslake, IL, and Annette Hartman of Lafayette, CO; 8 grandchildren, Lauren and Andrew Hartman, David, Emily and Alex Jahn, Mitchell, MacKenzie and Madison Hartman; sisters, Sr. Ruth Harber of Anderson, Audrey (Ralph) Deitche, and Theresa Harber both of Fort Wayne. She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Eloise DeKoninck in January 2007. Mass of Christian Burial 11 a.m. Tuesday at Queen of Angels Catholic Church, 1500 W. State Blvd. with calling one hour prior, Fr. Gary Sigler officiating. Calling from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday at Mungovan & Sons Memorial Chapel, 2114 S. Calhoun Street with Rosary at 8:30 p.m. Monday followed by St. Vincent de Paul Service. Burial in St. Aloysius Catholic Cemetery, Yoder. Preferred memorials to Masses or St. Vincent de Paul Society.
