Chase M. Richmond , 21 of Fort Wayne, passed away Thursday, September 23, 2010 at his home of natural causes. Born on August 26, 1989 in Sturgis, MI, Chase was a graduate of Homestead High School, Class of 2007 where he played hockey. He was employeed by West Point Financial Group. He loved his nieces and nephew, his cat "Kitty", Notre Dame football, and cars. Chase was not only driven to succeed in his own life but brought others along with him. Surviving are his parents Michael and Sandra Richmond of Fremont, IN; sister Jackie (Jon) Wilhite of Indianapolis, IN; brothers Alex (Sondra) Richmond of Ossian, IN; Brad (Sarah Squires) Richmond of Ft. Wayne, IN; grandparents Delmer and Karen Richmond Grandfather Phil Beardslee; Uncles Mark (Esther) Richmond and Matthew (Marty Gilbert) Richmond and John Beardslee; aunt Billie Jean (Rick) Stephenson; nephew and nieces Jackson and Claire Wilhite, Makayla and Macy Richmond; great-grandmother, Lucille Holsinger; and honorary brother Adam Drummond. Chase was preceded in death by his grandmother Pat Beardslee and great grandfather Harry Holsinger. Service is 10:00am Wednesday September 29, 2010 at D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road with calling an hour prior to service. Rev. Jason Rains officiating. Calling also from 2:00 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday at the funeral home. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Steuben County Humane Society or Riley's Hospital for Children.
