William R. "Bill" Zion , 73, passed away Friday, May 11, 2018 in Fort Wayne. He was born in Ft Wayne to the late John and Helen (Maxson) Zion.
Bill was the manager of the print shop at Raytheon for 48 years, he retired in December of 2010. He was a member of The Sons of American Legion Post 82 and the Quarter Century Club at Magnavox. He married Linda Jones on December 29, 1961, who survives. Also surviving are sons, Randy (Kathy) Zion and Rex (Linda) Zion both of Fort Wayne, brothers, John (Kay) Zion of Angola and Roland (Jean) Zion of FL; sisters, Sandy Vanover and Barbara (Steve) Ramsey of Fort Wayne; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-Grandchildren; mother-in-law, June Lake of Fort Wayne, Funeral service is 10:30 am, May 17, 2018 at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road. Calling also Wednesday, May 16, 2018, 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm & 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne.
