William "Billy" "Batman" E. Gibson, 67, passed away Monday, February 27, 2017. He was, born on October 28, 1949, and was the son of the late Willard and Agatha Gibson. Billy didn't just like Batman, he believed he was Batman. Being Batman is a busy job, but Billy still had time to work at Easter Seals ARC with his friends. Billy was a social guy, he loved coffee, ice cream, watching old TV sitcoms, listening to old music, and playing the guitar. Now that he is in heaven, we can hope he finally gets to marry Vicki Vale and spend his days fighting his nemesis including "The Joker", and "The Penguin". Surviving are his siblings; Robert (Annie) Gibson, John (Lisa) Gibson, Thomas (Karen) Gibson, Timothy (Matthew Helms) Gibson, Deborah (Joseph) Farmer; brother-in-law, Richard Beeler; his partners in crime, Samantha and Derek Farmer; and nieces and nephews; Matthew Gibson, Paul DeFrain, Cherie Mason, Anthony Beeler, Shannon Beeler, Tracy Hacker, Kristin Gibson, Dustin Gibson, Alyssa Gibson, and Rachel Gibson. William was preceded in death by sisters, Mary (Gibson) Beeler, and Rebecca Gibson; and brother, James Gibson. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 am, Saturday March 4, 2017 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1502 E. Wallen Road with calling 1 hour prior. Visitation at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road Friday, March 3, 2017, 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Burial in St. Vincent De Paul Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
