Wanda E. Swihart, 80, passed away Monday, June 13, 2016 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Wanda had a strong, unwavering faith for the Lord. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Wanda worked as a photo inspector at Mcjon Inc for several years. She was a member of Trier Ridge Community Church and the Womens Christian Service Council where she served as past president. Wanda had a passion for music and singing. She also enjoyed knitting, crochet and creating floral arrangements. Surviving are her daughters, Mary (John) Burelison of Fort Wayne, Cynthia(Steve) Barkley of Kendallville, Holly Swihart of Fort Wayne; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren sister, Ellen (Ed) Lopshire of Angola, half sister, Zondra Orr of NM; and half brother, David France of NM. Wanda was preceded in death by her parents Lester and Margaret France, husband, Dale Swihart, daughter, and Susan Swihart. Service is 2:00 pm, Saturday, June 18, 2016 at D.O. McComb & Sons Foster Park Funeral Home, 6301 Fairfield Avenue with calling one hour prior, Pastor Ross Osborn officiating. Calling at the funeral home Friday, June 17, 2016, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Memorials may be made to Trier Ridge Community Church.
