Virginia L. Vernard, 89, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2018 at Parkview Hospital Randallia in Fort Wayne. She was born in Indianapolis, IN. Virginia enjoyed cooking, sewing, cake decorating and teaching Sunday School. Surviving are her children, Linda (Brett) Erb of Anchorage, AK; Jane (John) Bennett of Signal Mountain, TN; William (Ann) Vernard of Olmsted Falls, OH; grandchildren, Angela, Emily, John Michael, Laura and 3 great grandchildren. Virginia was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Henry Edward Vernard; father, Richard D. Lancaster; mother, Olive Lucille Kline; brother, Richard L. Lancaster, and a grandson, Adam Erb. Private burial will be held at I.O.O.F. Cemetery New Haven, 1109 Hartzell Road, New Haven, IN. Calling will be Monday, Monday June 18, 2018, from 6 - 8 pm at D. O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road Fort Wayne, IN. Memorials may be made to the American Parkinson Disease Association - Northwest Chapter
