Rev. Virgil N. Bixler, 93, passed away Monday, November 20, 2017. Born in Elkton, MI, Virgil worked as pastor of Missionary Churches in Pennsylvania, Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana for over 50 years. Surviving are his spouse, Leona Bixler; daughter, Sheryl (Timothy) Steiner of Archbold, OH, son, Jay (Deborah) Bixler of Lafayette, CA, daughter, Joy (Rex) Forbes of Fort Wayne, IN, 6 grandchildren, and 6 great grandchildren. Virgil was preceded in death by parents Erwin and Melvina Bixler, brother, Blanchard Bixler, sister, Bernice Bixler, sister, Faythe Outcalt, and brother, Leon Bixler. Service is 11 am Saturday December 9, 2017, at First Missionary Church, 701 W Rudisill Blvd with calling an hour prior.
