Vernon A. Fawley Jr., 80, passed away Saturday, June 2, 2018 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. He was born in Warsaw, IN, to the late Vernon A. Sr. and Pauline Fawley. He graduated from North Webster High School in 1957. Vernon worked several years on passenger trains for the railroad and also as an Expeditor with US Post Office of Fort Wayne, IN for 43yrs years, retiring on January 1, 2001. He was a member of Good Shepherd United Methodist Church. Vernon was an avid model train collector and enjoyed fishing. Surviving are his loving wife of almost 60 years, Anna Marcille Fawley of Fort Wayne, IN; son, Gregory (Laura) Fawley of Tuscon, AZ; sister, Jean (Michael) Anicka of California, KY; grandchildren, Matthew Fawley of the US Army, Kimberley (Chase) Augeson of Willmar, MN; Stephanie (Clay) Kennerk of Fort Wayne, IN; Courtney Fawley of Tuscon, AZ; Phillip Hofer of Fort Wayne, Bethany Fawley of Tuscon, AZ; Katie Hofer of Fort Wayne, IN and anticipated great granddaughter, Brynlee Kennerk and also survived by a son-n-law Michael Hofer of Fort Wayne, IN. Vernon was preceded in death by daughter, Suzie Hofer, and sister, Joyce Read. Service is 1:30 pm, Thursday June 7, 2018 at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, 4700 Vance Avenue with calling one hour prior. Calling also Wednesday, June 6, 2018, from 5 - 8 pm at D. O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road. Burial in Highland Park Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
