Tyon Jerell Woods, 19, passed away Saturday July 22, 2017. He was born on February 6, 1998 in Fort Wayne, IN. Tyon attended Northrop High School for 3 years, and graduated from New Haven High School in 2016. He always had a smile on his face, he was jolly, respectful, sensitive, caring, loving, well liked, had a lot of friends, was giving, sweet, and easy to like and get along with. He was very athletic, being fond of football and basketball. He was an all-around all-star. After graduating High School he attended Grand Rapids community college in Michigan, and was on the roster for Davenport University to play football. Surviving are his mom; Germyra (Joey Moore) Woods; dad, Danielle Chandler; Aunt/honorary mom; Tyra Woods; grandparents, Marsha, Gerald King, and Cynthia Chandler; siblings, Danielle Chandler, Desmond Chandler, Danny Johnson, Jaiya Williams, Jaimya Woods, J'kai Williams, and Joey Moore Jr. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ronnie Chandler; great-grandparents; Richard and Audrey Woods. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at The Well of Fort Wayne 1315 Hanna St. Fort Wayne, IN 46802 at 1pm, with visitation 2 hours prior. Visitation will take place on Friday, July 28, 2017 at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park 1140 Lake Ave Ft. Wayne, IN 46825 from 5-7pm. Memorial contributions may be made to Germyra Woods.
