Suzanne C. Armstrong, 74, passed away on January 8, 2018. She was born in Fort Wayne, IN on January 18, 1943, the daughter of the late Edward and Neva Hunsaker. Suzanne graduated from Northside High School in 1959. She went on to become a school librarian for FWCS, before moving to Indianapolis, where she worked at Indianapolis Public Schools as a librarian until her retirement. Suzanne started the summer lunch program at McMillen Park for the schools. She enjoyed the Charlie Brown Thanksgivings that she hosted at the Media Center. She enjoyed word searches, crafts, reading romance novels, reading to the kids, swimming, motorcycle riding and bird watching. More than anything she enjoyed spending time with her family, and playing with her grandkids. Surviving are her husband, George Armstrong; children, Rhonda (Ken) Eberle, and Michele Jackson; grandchildren, Justin Eberle, Kayla Jackson, and Cole Eberle; great-grandchildren, RJ and Evelyn; and her beloved dog, Toby. She was preceded in death by her sister, Georgia Smith; and son-in-law, Ken Eberle. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, January 21, 2018 at 11AM at D.O. McComb and Sons Foster Park Chapel, 6301 Fairfield Ave., Fort Wayne, IN 46807, with calling 1 hour prior. Visitation will also take place at the funeral home on Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 2-4p and 6-8p. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
