Stella M. Overbay, 87, passed away on November 10, 2018 at Grey Stone Health and Rehab. She was born in Bell County, Kentucky on May 20, 1931, the daughter of the late Dexter and Maggie Lloyd.
Stella retired from Magnavox after 17 years of employment. Stella and her husband, Roosevelt "Rose" retired to Tennessee for 16 years prior Stella's return to Fort Wayne after her husband's passing.
Stella was an avid reader, and enjoyed being outdoors and taking walks when she was able.
Surviving are her daughter, Sandy Stout; grandchildren, Scott (Margy) Sorgen, Ricky (Sarah) Vibbert, and Jessica (Tom) Reamer; brother, James Lloyd; and sisters, Mickey (Cal) Fromm, Betty "Jo" (Ron) Schwartz, and Billie Jean Bishop.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roosevelt "Rose" Overbay; children; Barbara "Bobbie" Overbay, and Sherry Vibbert; sister, Margaret Burke; and son-in-law, John Stout.
Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at 11:30 AM at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley, 1320 E. Dupont Road, Fort Wayne, IN. Visitation will be held from 10 to 11:30 AM.
Burial will take place at Lindenwood Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Shepherds House, Fort Wayne Rescue Mission, or Donor's Choice.
