Sharon A. "Cricket" Tonak, 67, passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2017. She was born on June 4, 1949 to the late Calvin and Lois Tonak.
Cricket was employed at Magnavox for 28 years and BAE Systems for 15 years. She loved spending her weekends watching sports, including the Minnesota Vikings, Minnesota Twins, the Cubs, and NASCAR, specifically Kyle Petty. In her spare time she enjoyed bowling and doing Sunday projects. She is survived by her children; Heidi A. (Adam) Rabideau, two brothers, Gerald (Carol) Tonak, Herold (Robbin) Tonak, granddaughters, Kimberly "Pookins" (Sean) Smullen, Brittany "B" (Brandon) McKale, Sierra "little truck" Schuessler; grandsons; Canaan (Chloe) Stanley, Troy "Bubba" Topp; 4 nieces; caregivers, Maggie "sister" Powell, and Amanda "Mooch" Smithson . Thank you to the Heritage Park Staff and Residence for all of the love and great care. Funeral service will be held at 2:30pm on Saturday, April 15, 2017 at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park 1140 Lake Ave Ft. Wayne, IN with calling 3 hours prior. Burial will take place in Covington Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to Parkview Hospice Carew Street Suite 5 Ft .Wayne, IN 46805 or Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church 1636 St. Mary's Ave, Fort Wayne, IN 46808.
