Sally A. O'Hara, 85, went home to her Heavenly Father, Monday, December 25, 2017, a fitting day in light of her devotion to the Infant Jesus. She was born in Fort Wayne, IN, on March 1, 1932, the daughter of the late Dr. Raymond and Kathryn Berghoff. Sally worked as an Elementary School Teacher, and belonged to the Junior League Association. Sally was an avid Notre Dame Football fan, and enjoyed golfing and gardening. She had a love for animals, a green thumb, and more than anything, she was a devoted mother and wife. Sally had the gift of hospitality, and never hesitated to open her home and heart to anyone she met.
Surviving are her husband of 62 years, J. Michael O'Hara; children, Kathleen (Sandy) Kunkel, Kevin (Sue) O'Hara, Michael (Debbie) O'Hara, Molly (Ted) Niezer, and Megan (Tim) Fetter; 15 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren; and sister, Margaret Tate. Sally was preceded in death by siblings; Deacon William Berghoff, Dr. James R. Berghoff, and Thomas Berghoff. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 2:00 pm, Saturday, December 30, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 10700 Aboite Center Road with visitation from 12:30 to 2pm. Burial will take place in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne, Indiana. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011 Washington, D.C. 20090 or
