Sally A. Hake, 82, of Clear Lake, Indiana, passed away on Monday, April 17, 2017 at her home after a brave battle with Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis. Sally was born January 8, 1935, to the late Gerald and Irene (Schaefer) Aurentz. She was married on May 7, 1982, in Fort Wayne to Dr. Joseph W. Hake. Sally graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1953. She studied Fine Arts at Indiana University, Bloomington. She worked at WKJG-TV and Art Associates in Fort Wayne. Sally was a member of St. Mary's and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Churches, Fort Wayne, and St. Paul's Chapel, Clear Lake. She enjoyed the Clear Lake Yacht Club, along with taking boat and golf cart rides around the lake. She was a founding member of the Monday Lunch Group, and enjoyed sharing many fun times dining with the ladies at the local restaurants. Sally especially loved her time spent with family, friends, and her beloved cat Frankie. Sally was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and grandmother and was a friend to many. Surviving are her husband Dr. Joseph W. Hake, daughter, Betsy (Jim) Till, sons, Christopher (Laura) Klerner, Charles (Delonna) Klerner, Patrick (Kathleen) Klerner: step-children, Michelle (Mark) Clark, Nathan Hake, Lanah (Fernando) Tarango; grandchildren Joshua Klerner, Evan Klerner, Henry Till, Samantha Klerner, Emma and George Clark, Sol and Hake Tarango, and sister, Nancy Ulrich. She was preceded in death by her daugthter-in-law Kathryn Klerner and her sister Marilyn Morthorst. Mass of Christian Burial is 10 am, Monday, May 1, 2017 at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Fort Wayne, with calling one hour prior, Msgr. Robert Schulte officiating. Calling at D.O. McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 E. Dupont Road, Sunday, April 30, 2017 from 2 pm to 6 pm. Memorials may be made to Parkview Hospice or ASPCA of Allen County.
