Robert E. "Bob" Curts, 80, passed away Thursday, December 1, 2016 at the Sarasota Memorial Hospital. Born in Mount Carmel, IL, Robert worked at Tokheim for 30 years, retiring in 1989. He was a U S Army veteran, a member of the American Legion Post #499, Old Timers Softball League, Old Timers Baseball League, Central High School Alumni Association, Fort Wayne Radio Club, ACARTS Radio Club, TAMIAMI Radio Club, Bescanon Historical Society and the Allen County Genealogy Society. Surviving are his wife of 60 years, Arlene L. Curts; son, Robert M. (Carol) Curts of Greenwood, IN; daughter, Connie Curts of Columbus, OH; 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Robert was preceded in death by Father, Jessie A. Curts, mother, Clestes King, brothers, Richard and Charles Curts. Funeral Service is 10:00 am, Saturday, December 10, 2016 at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road with calling one hour prior. Calling will also be Friday, December 9, 2016, from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm at the funeral home. Entombment in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
