Rita A Minnich, 74, passed away Monday, November 13, 2017 surrounded by her family in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, Rita was a devout parishioner of Our Lady of Good Hope. She was a devout mother, grandmother, and wife who was strong in her faith, and had a passion for life. She was giving, loving, kind-hearted, and had a great sense of humor. Rita kept close ties with her life-long friends. She had a positive attitude and was very encouraging. She will be greatly missed. Surviving are her eight children, Rebecca Fonseca of Fort Wayne, William Minnich of Fort Wayne, Sarah (Shane) Blotkamp of Elkhart, Julia (Victor) McNeal of Columbia City, Paul Minnich of Fort Wayne, Michael (Lauria) Minnich of Grabill, Nathan (Angela) Minnich of Roanoke, and Christopher (Emily) Minnich of Fort Wayne; 20 grandchildren; and sister, Clara (Norbert) Sarrazine of New Haven. Rita was preceded in death by husband, Ralph Minnich; father, Clarence Gnau; and mother, Aquanita Gnau. Mass of Christian Burial is Friday, November 17, 2017,11:00 am, at Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church with Father Daniel Whelan officiating with an hour of calling prior to the Mass. Calling at - D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road, Thursday, November 16, 2017, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm with a Rosary at 3:30 pm.
