Richard L Dolby, 74, passed away Thursday, October 19, 2017 at his home in New Haven. Born in Huntington, IN, to the late Charles E and Loretta K. Dolby. Richard was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He worked as an Electrician with General Electric, Local 305 IBEW and General Motors before retiring in 2000. He was a member of The Ridge Church, VFW, American Legion Post 330. He enjoyed traveling throughout Europe on river cruises, and traveled extensively in their motor home in the states. Richard enjoyed working with his hands, whether on cars or home remodel projects. Surviving are his wife, Rebecca R. Dolby of New Haven, IN; son, Daniel D. (Beth) Dolby of New Haven, IN; son, Rodney J. Dolby of Hoagland, IN; daughter, Teresa L. (Donald) Cline of Wabash, IN; brother, Thomas (Jane) Dolby of Sante Fe, NM; sisters, Carol E. (Sam) Shenefield of Huntington, IN; Sandy K. Dolby of Bloomington, IN; 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. Richard was preceded in death by father, Charles E. Dolby, mother, Loretta K. Dolby, son, Charles O. Dolby, brother, Steven C. Dolby. Service is 10:30 am, Saturday October 28, 2017 at D. O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road with calling one hour prior. Calling at also Friday, October 27, 2017, from 4- 8 pm at the funeral home. Burial in I.O.O.F.
