Richard E. Troup, 90, passed away Sunday, January 13, 2019 at his home in Ft Wayne. He was born September 29, 1928 in Elkhart, Indiana to the late Clarence and Berneta (Wilhelm) Troup. He married Shirley A. (Ganger) Troup on August 5, 1950.He served in the US Marine Corp from 1946 to 1948. He was an insurance salesman for Western and Southern Life Insurance Company for 30 ½ years. He was a member of Brookside Community Church and former member of and Deacon at Meadowcrest Brethren Church. Survivors include his wife Shirley, sons Douglas (Cheryl) Troup, Steven (Edna) Troup both of Ft. Wayne; daughter Jean Hartman, Ashburn, VA. Grandchildren, Amy (Brent) Bauer and Cody (Hillary). Great-grand-children Alexis and Jaxon Bauer He was preceded in death by a son-in-law Robert Hartman and Sister Betty Beers. Funeral services 1:00 PM, Thursday, January 17,2019, with calling one hour prior, at D O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home 4017 Maplecrest Rd Ft Wayne, Chaplain Kris McPherson, officiating. Calling also Wednesday, January 16, 2019 2 to 5pm at the funeral home. Burial Covington Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
