Richard E. Roy, 91, passed away Wednesday, October 11, 2017 in Indianapolis, IN. Born in Fort Wayne, Richard worked as a tool and die maker with Slater Steel for 44 years. He proudly served his country as a member of the US Navy during WWII. He was a member of St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church of Fort Wayne and St. Malachy Catholic Church of Brownsburg, IN. Surviving are his son, Bryan (Natalie) Roy of Brownsburg, IN; and his two granddaughters, Lauren and Erin Roy. Richard was preceded in death by his wife, Arlene Roy; and parents, Ernest and Cecelia Roy. Mass of Christian Burial is 2:30 pm, Thursday, October 19, 2017 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1502 E. Wallen Rd. Calling will be held at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Rd, prior to the Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday from 12:00 noon until 2:00 pm with a prayer service at 2:00 pm. Burial in St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Memorials may be made to the Hoosier Village Retirement Village of Indianapolis or St. Vincent dePaul Catholic Church.
