Richard "Dick" S. Peters, 88, passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2017. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Dick was the son of the late Otto and Bertha Peters. He graduated from South Side High School, and earned his associates degree from International Business College. He was a salesman for Sears for 25 years and owned, managed, and maintained numerous rental properties in Fort Wayne and Florida. He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Surviving are his children, Barb Peters of Fort Wayne, Dianne (Steven) Ebling of Fishers, Michael (Jan) Peters of Saline, MI, Jennifer (Steven) Bautz of Schererville, Mark (Julie) Peters of Roanoke; 14 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren. Dick was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Lou Peters; siblings, Kate Cantwell, Fritz Peters and Jim Peters. Mass of Christian Burial is 11:00 am, Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 10700 Aboite Center Rd, with calling one hour prior. Calling at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road Tuesday, January 2, 2018, 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm with a vigil service at 6:30 pm. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer 's Disease Research Foundation
