Richard C. Wick, 94, passed away Saturday, October 21, 2017 at The Towne House Retirement Center in Fort Wayne. Born in Peoria, IL, Richard worked as an Optician with Dr. Maurice Rothberg & Dr. Samuel Thompson, retiring in 1986. He was a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church, City Senior Men's Golf Association, Bethlehem's Men's Bowling League, and served on the maintenance and building board at Holy Cross Lutheran Church. He served honorably well in the United States Army Air Forces in WWII. Richard enjoyed bowling, golfing, fishing, and woodworking. He loved spending winters at his Florida home and having family and friends come to visit. Surviving are his sons, Steve (Darlene) Wick of Fort Wayne, David (Cynthia) Wick of Wawaka, IN, and Gary (Debra) Wick of Avilla, IN; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; brother, Dr. Alfred A. (Carol) Wick of Fort Wayne; and sister, Carolyn Young of Mechanicsburg, PA. Richard was preceded in death by father, Clifford O. Wick; mother, Clara B. Wick; and wife, Estelle C. Wick. Service is 3:00 pm, Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at - D. O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road. Calling at - D. O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, Wednesday, October 25, 2017, 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm. Entombment in Concordia Cemetery Gardens, Fort Wayne.
