Richard A. Ullrich "Dick", 88, passed away Thursday, March 30, 2017 at Visiting Nurse in Fort Wayne. Born in Buffalo, NY, Dick was the son of the late Alfred Ullrich and Beatrice Myers. He was a Korean War Army veteran. Dick was a Geologist with Meridian Oil Company for 31 years, retiring in 1987. He was a member of Emmanuel Community Church. Dick's heart was in volunteering at his church and at Lutheran Hospital. He was very much a people person, he loved people and people loved him. Surviving are his son, Dean (Sheila) Ullrich of Fort Wayne; and daughter, Teresa (Jess) Cardoza of Glendale, AZ. Dick was preceded in death by his wife, Flora M. Ullrich. Service is 11:00 am, Monday, April, 3, 2017 at Emmanuel Community Church, 12222 US 24 W Fort Wayne with calling one hour prior, Pastor Bob Bruce officiating. Calling at D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road Sunday, April 2, 2017, 4:00 pm to 6:00 p.m. Burial will be at 2:30 pm with military honors in Stahl Cemetery, Bluffton, Indiana.
