Randall R. Sorg, 57, passed away Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Visiting Nurse and Hospice of Fort Wayne surrounded by his family. Born in Fort Wayne, Randy retired in 2011 as a civilian contractor with the Air National Guard where he served for 24 years. He was a member of St Joseph Catholic Church, Hessen Cassel, a 4th degree Knight of Columbus, and a member of the Sons of the Legion Post #296. Surviving are his mother, Marilyn Mattes Sorg of Fort Wayne; brother, Timothy (Jacqueline) Sorg of Churubusco, IN; sister, Lori (Mark) Miller of Fort Wayne; nieces and nephews, Matthew Sorg, Luke (Jennifer) Sorg, Meaghan Sorg, Theresa Miller, and Benjamin Miller. Randy was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Sorg. Mass of Christian Burial is 11:00 am, Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Hessen Cassel, 11337 South US 27 with calling 1hr prior. Calling also at D.O. McComb & Sons Foster Park Funeral Home, 6301 Fairfield Ave on Monday, May 9, 2016 from 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm with a Rosary service at 8:00 pm. Burial in the St. Joseph Catholic, Hessen Cassel Cemetery.
