Phyllis M. Wilkens, 92, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2017 at Woodview Assisted Living in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, Indiana, Phyllis was the daughter of the late Herbert and Isabelle Kammeyer. She was a retail associate with L.S. Ayres during her working career until her retirement. She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church and the Fort Wayne Turners. Phyllis enjoyed sewing, knitting, crafts, and of course her shopping. Surviving are her children, Ken (Julie) Wilkens, Dianne Wilkens both of Fort Wayne, Laura (Randy) Nordyke of Albion, Linda (Paul) Spurgeon of Columbia City; grandchildren, Alyssa and Eric Wilkens, Michelle (Jeremy) Burlison, Stacy (Steve) King, Josh Nordyke, Sydney and Lucas Spurgeon; eight great-grandchildren; and brother, Lee (Carol) Kammeyer of Chippewa Falls, WI. Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband Frederick Wilkens; siblings Herbert Kammeyer, and sister, Anne Barr. Service is 2:00 pm, Monday, April 3, 2017 at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue with calling from 12:00 pm until the service. Burial in Catholic Cemetery Fort Wayne, Indiana.
