Phyllis Grace Bruick, 88, passed away on July 7, 2018. She was born in a farm house in Scalp Level, PA near Johnstown, PA on November 18, 1929, the daughter of the late Harry and Maude Meese. She moved with her mother and sister at the age of 10 to Fort Wayne. She met her husband, Bob Bruick at Bells Skating Rink in New Haven, IN. She was a roller skate dancer. Phyllis was a long time member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, and active member of Clear Lake Lutheran Church, Fremont, IN. She was a charter member of Psi Iota Xi, Eta Rho Chapter Sorority. Phyllis will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Phyllis is survived by her husband of 68 years, Robert Bruick; children Cheryl (Michael) Sorge and David (Rhonda) Bruick; 9 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and sister, Marie Stevens. She was preceded in death by her son John Bruick. Funeral service will take place at 11AM on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 7710 S. State St., Fort Wayne, IN 46815, with calling 1 hour prior. Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 10, 2018 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at D.O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Chapel, 4017 Maplecrest Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46815. Burial will take place at St. Peter's Lutheran Church Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church or Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.
