Philip E. Kennedy, 83, passed away Sunday, December 10, 2017 at his home in Fort Wayne. A Fort Wayne native, Phil was born to the late Kenneth J. and Eugenia LaCroix Kennedy. He graduated from Marion HS then earned a Bachelor's degree in Business from Indiana University. He was a proud U.S Army Veteran. Philip worked at Lincoln Life for 33 years, retiring as Vice President of large accounts. He was an active member of the Trinity Episcopal Church choir. Phil loved spending time on the deck of his Dallas Lake cottage with friends and family, especially his four grandchildren and often stopped by the Rome City American Legion on the way. Surviving are his daughters, Julia (Mark) Lawson of Columbia City, IN; Judith (Kenn Scribner) Kennedy, M.D. of Churubusco, IN; grandchildren, Aaron and Katie Scribner and Ben and Nicole Lawson, sister, Harriette Kennedy of Marion, IN; brother, Ken Kennedy of Marion, IN and numerous nieces and nephews. Philip was preceded in death by his parents and 5 siblings. Service is 10:30 am, Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Trinity Episcopal Church, 611 W Berry St with calling one hour prior. Calling Tuesday, December 19, 2017, from 6 to 8 pm at D.O McComb and Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home 1320 E. Dupont Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46825.
