Paul A. Stammen, 75, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 24, 2017 surrounded by his immediate family. He retired from the city of Fort Wayne in 2000 after 42 years of service. He was a member of T.P.A. which provides assistance to deaf children and a member of I.S.C.A. where he enjoyed showing his 1993 Indy pace truck. He was an avid outdoorsman and also enjoyed square dancing, jigsaw puzzles, and collecting memorabilia. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Barb Hans-Stammen of Fort Wayne; daughter, Susan (Adam) Richardson of Ellabell, GA; sons, Paul Stammen of Toronto, Canada, Steve Stammen of Hinesville, GA; step-daughter, Diana Hans-Stammen of Fort Wayne, step-son, David Hans of Antioch, TN; three granddaughters; seven great-grandchildren; four step-grandsons; and one step-granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents, Florence and Wilma Stammen; and step-son, Scott Hans. Service is 4 pm, Saturday, December 30, 2017 at D.O. McComb and Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Rd, with calling from 12 pm until the service. Rev. Jim Graham officiating. Memorials may be made to Visiting Nurse Hospice.
