Patrick D. Plank, 81, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2017 at Parkview Hospice Randallia in Fort Wayne. He was born in Fort Wayne, IN, to the late Amos D. and Josephine D. Plank. Patrick graduated from North Side High School in1955 and attended Purdue University. He served in the Army as a Staff Sgt. Patrick worked as a Machine Operator with Dana Corporation for 20 years, retiring in 2002, and also was a former manager of Kentucky Fried Chicken and Wendy's Restaurants in Fort Wayne. He was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church Wolcottville, IN and American Legion, Post 215. Patrick was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching football, basketball, golf and having an occasional Miller Lite. He loved spending time at Westler Lake and with his children and grandchildren. Surviving are children Belinda K. Plank of Petoskey, MI; Bethany L. Plank of Fort Wayne, IN; Michael D. (Sandy) Plank of Albion, IN; Jeffrey P. (Mindy) Plank of Auburn, IN; step-children, Ronald E. (Faith) Galbraith of Nashville, TN; Phyllis L. (Tom) Jozaites of South Bend, IN; brothers, Frank (Tina) Toth of Columbia City, IN; Rusty (Lupe) Toth of Garrett, IN; sister, Elizabeth (Dale) Richmond of Laotto, IN; 7 grandchildren 9 step-grandchildren and several great grandchildren. Patrick was preceded in death by his parents, wife, E. Gene Plank, and a step-son, Mark L. Galbraith. Service is 10:30 am, Wednesday December 6, 2017 at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home 1320 E Dupont Road Fort Wayne, IN 46825 with calling one hour prior, Pastor James Tews officiating. Calling also Tuesday, December 5, 2017, from 5 - 8 pm at the funeral home. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery , Fort Wayne, Indiana.
