Norman Joseph Gerardot, 87, passed away Monday, June 26, 2017 at Parkview Regional Medical Center in Fort Wayne. Born in New Haven, IN, Norman graduated from Central Catholic High School. He was a machinist with General Electric for 22 years, retiring in 1993. He was a member of Most Precious Blood Catholic Church. Norman loved to fish, play euchre, and square dance. He was an avid IU and Notre Dame fan, but his true passion was spending time with his loving family. Surviving are his wife, Carol R Gerardot of Fort Wayne, IN; children, Larry (Judy) Gerardot of Fort Wayne, IN; Ron (Sue) Gerardot of Montgomery, IL; Maureen (Bill) McAfee of Fort Wayne, IN; Pam Owens of Fort Wayne, IN; Laura (Tom) Hattery of Churubusco, IN; Rene (Jeff) Moring of Fort Wayne, IN; Carla (Iftekhar) Mohamedali of Kendallville, IN; Cheryl Marchant of Dallas, TX; daughter-n-law Kim Gerardot of Fort Wayne, IN; 26 grandchildren 36 great grandchildren, a brother, Jim (Linda) Gerardot of New Haven, IN; and a sister, Mary Elizabeth Tracey of Peru, IN. Norman was preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Helen Gerardot, sons, Norman E. Gerardot, Kevin Gerardot, and sister, Teresa Campbell. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 am Friday, June 30, 2017, at Most Precious Blood Catholic Church, 1515 Barthold St. Fort Wayne, IN, with calling one hour prior, Fr Joseph Gaughan officiating. Calling also Thursday, June 29, 2017, from 2 - 5 & 7 - 9 pm with a Rosary, at 4:30 pm,at D. O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home 4017 Maplecrest Road Fort Wayne, IN. Burial in Catholic Cemetery Fort Wayne. Memorials may be made to the Most Precious Blood Catholic Church or a mass in memory of Norman Gerardot.
