Norma A. (Schwierking) Jellison, 82, passed away at home Sunday, May 27, 2018 after a year long battle with ALS. Born in Warsaw, IN, Norma graduated from St. Joseph Hospital School of Nursing and worked as a Registered Nurse with John E. Krueger, M.D. & John Nill, M.D. for 30 years, retiring in 1999. She was a volunteer at Parkview North Cancer Center and the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Surviving are her husband, Donald G. Jellison of Fort Wayne, IN, son, Christopher S. (Tara) Jellison of Fort Wayne, IN, daughter, Amy K. (Matthew) Barnes of Fort Wayne, IN, sister, Marilyn L. Hammersley of Fort Wayne, IN, 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Norma was preceded in death by parents Henry J. and Leona A. (Rody) Schwierking, 1 great grandchild, and brother-in-law John Hammersley. Mass of Christian Burial is May 31, 2018 at 11 am, at Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church with calling an hour prior. Calling at - D. O. McComb & Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Road Wednesday, May 30, 2018, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm with a Rosary service at 5:45 pm. Entombment in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Memorials may be made to the Parkview Home Health and Hospice or Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church.
