Norbert A. Minick, 74, returned to his heavenly Father Tuesday, November 14, 2017. He was born April 17, 1943 to the late Leo and Catherine Minick. He attended St. Henry's Catholic Church where he was a Mass server and Lector. Norbert served his country as a member of the US Army as a SP4 - E4. He graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1961. Norbert worked for North American Van Lines, then later retired from Lutheran Hospital Security after 20 years as a Lieutenant. He was a charter member of the Southwest Conservation Club, a lifetime member of the NRA, and a member of the American Legion. Norbert was a graduate from the 1st class of the Sheriff's Citizens Academy. Norbert will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He married his wife, Carolyn Minick on June 11, 1966 in Portland, IN, she survives. Also surviving are his children, John (Beth) Minick, and Julie (Robert Jr.) Grabowski both of Fort Wayne, IN; 4 grandchildren, Kyle (Moira), Brian, Jacob, and Cara; nephews and nieces, Jim and Letha Minick, and Jackie and Mark Wilson; and brother-in-law, Rick Laux. Norbert was preceded in death by his parents; 1 brother and 1 sister. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 am, Saturday, November 25, 2017 at St. Henry's Catholic Church, 2929 E. Paulding Rd, with calling one hour prior. Calling also at D.O. McComb & Sons Foster Park Funeral Home, 6301 Fairfield Ave, on Friday, November 24, 2017 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm with a Rosary service at 3:30 pm. Burial in St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery Hessen Cassel. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or Masses. To sign the online guest book, go to
