Noel R Wells, 83, passed away Sunday, July 16, 2017 at his home in Leo. He was born in Auburn, Indiana to the late John W and Arlene H Wells. Noel graduated from Leo High School and was a lifetime resident of the community. He was a car salesman and worked at Allen County Motors, Bobilya Ford in Lagrange, IN and retired from Max Platt in Kendallville, IN. He was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Whether at work or at home, Noel worked very hard to provide for his family. He built his family's home and spent Sunday working on his wife's honey do list. He enjoyed watching baseball, taking fishing trips to Canada and caring for his three donkeys. Surviving are his children, Michael (Pat) Wissel of Nashville, TN; Susan Coe of Fort Wayne, IN; David (Laurie) Wissel of Bradenton, FL; Stephen (Sherry) Wissel of Amesbury, MA; Mark (Chris) Wissel of Fort Wayne, IN; Nicole (Joseph) Galbraith of Fort Wayne, IN; siblings, Yvonne Passwater of FL; Russell Wells of Columbia City, IN; Dennis (Sue) Wells of VA; Janine (Marty) Erlenbaugh of Clear Lake, IN; sister-in-law, Valerie Wells of Angola, IN;16 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren . Noel was preceded in death by his parents, wife of 35 years, Dolores A Wells, and his brother, John Wells. A special thanks to his caregiver Susan Reiling who watched over him for 6 years. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 AM Friday July 21, 2017, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with calling one hour prior. Calling also Thursday, July 20, 2017, 2 - 4 & 6 - 8 pm at D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road Fort Wayne, IN. Burial in Catholic Cemetery Fort Wayne, Memorials may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation.
