Nancy L. Cornett, 74, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 18, 2017. Born in Albion, Indiana, Nancy was the daughter of the late Bishop J. Claude and Dora Lawson. Nancy worked with Parkview Hospital for 30 years, retiring in 2005. She was an active member of First Pentecostal Church, Warsaw United Pentecostal Church, and most recently of Victory Life Church. Nancy was faithful, giving, loving, and servant for the Lord. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother to her family. Nancy enjoyed fishing, corn hole, along with singing, and playing the piano and organ. Surviving are her husband, R. Doyle Cornett of New Haven; children, R. Bryan (Benita) Cornett of Rockwood, TN, Kimberly (Rev. Craig) St. Myers of Fort Wayne, Karen (Wayne) Bell of Shamrock, TX, Karla (Rev. Wilson) Murphy of Potts Camp, MS, Randy (Elaina) Goins of Fort Wayne; 16 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-granddaughter; siblings, James J.C. (Elaine) Lawson of Fort Wayne, Carolyn Whitman of New Haven, and Phyllis (James) Weber of Conyers, GA. Nancy was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Rev. Russell McMaster, and brother-in-law, Earl Whitman. Service is 11:00 am, Thursday, June 22, 2017 at First Pentecostal Church, 935 Farwood Ave with calling one hour prior, Rev. Gregory Fries officiating. Calling at D.O. McComb & Sons Foster Park Funeral Home, 6301 Fairfield Avenue Wednesday, June 21, 2017, 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Burial in Sparta Cemetery, Kimmell, Indiana. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Victory Life Church Building Fund or Cancer Services of Northeast Indiana.
