Nancy L. (Cayot) Tegtmeyer, a lifetime resident of Fort Wayne, was born on June 19, 1942 and passed away on Friday, January 22, 2016, at Parkview Hospital Randallia surrounded by her loving family. She was a graduate of Central Catholic High School in 1960 and married the love of her life, Robert L. Tegtmeyer, in 1961. She was a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who's primary passion in life was taking wonderful care of her family. She was employed by Target from 1978 to 1990, volunteered as a Girl Scout Leader and CCD Teacher at St. Henry Catholic Church for several years, and was a long time Parkinson's Research patient. Nancy is survived by her husband, Robert L.Tegtmeyer, their four children: Michelle (Jeff) Johnson, Michael (Jeff) Tegtmeyer, Rhonda (Jeff) Bigelow, and Amy Tegtmeyer Lechleidner; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and sister, Bonnie C. Steckbeck. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence F. and Mary E. (Burke) Cayot; and sister, Marjorie A. Miller. Mass of Christian Burial is at 11:00 am, Friday, January 29, 2016 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, 14623 Bluffton Rd., with visitation 1 hour prior. Visitation also on Thursday, January 28, 2016, 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm & 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at D.O. McComb and Son's Foster Park Funeral Home, 6301 Fairfield Ave. Fort Wayne. Entombment in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Turnstone Parkinson's Support Group, Parkview Randallia Hospice or St. Aloysius Catholic Church.
