Nadine B. Gardner, 97, passed away Monday, September 25, 2017 in Fort Wayne. She was born in Denver, CO, on July 15, 1920, and raised in Fort Wayne, IN. She was the daughter of the late Frank Doty and Hazel Whitenack. She was a 1938 graduate of South Side High School. She retired from the Kroger Company in 1981. Nadine was an extraordinary wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She enjoyed gardening, reading, bowling and volunteering. Surviving are her daughters, Sandra (Ron) McMahon-Prater and Linda (Rich) Sarrazin; half-brother, Thomas Doty; 9 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Phyllis Doty. Nadine was preceded in death by her husband, Ross J. Gardner; son, Larry Ross Gardner; granddaughter, Molly Nadine McMahon; brothers, Glen Doty, Robert Doty; and sister Virginia Lake. Funeral Service will be 11AM Saturday, September 30, 2017 at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral home 1140 Lake Ave. Fort Wayne, IN 46805 with calling 1 hour prior. Father Joseph Gaughan will officiate. Visitation will also be at the funeral home on Friday, September 29, 2017 from 5-8pm. Burial to take place in Greenlawn Memorial Park Cemetery Fort Wayne, IN. Memorials may be made to Parkview Home Health and Hospice Agencies or Diabetes Foundation.
