MIKE ST. JOHN II, 97, of Fort Wayne, Ind., passed away Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2018. Born May 15, 1921 in New Orleans, La., he was a son of the late Edward M. and Eugenie (Markey) St. John. He served his country proudly in World War II in the U.S. Army Air Corps as a pilot and over 20 years in the U.S. Air Force Reserve. He was retired from Dana Corp. as the Assistant Plant Manager after 36 years of service. Mike is a lifetime member of St. Jude Catholic Church and a proud member of the American Legion. He is survived by his daughters, Shari (Stephen) Sammetinger, Suzanne (Bradd) Fisher; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Mike is also preceded in death by his wife, Betty J. (Hetrick) St. John; son, Edward Michael St. John III; and his brothers, William and Eugene St. John. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 8, 2018 at St. Jude Catholic Church, 2130 Pemberton Dr., Fort Wayne, Ind., with visitation one hour before the Mass. Additional visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. today, Oct. 7, 2018, at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne, Ind. Mike will be laid to rest at Highland Park Memorial Garden, Fort Wayne, Ind. Memorial gifts may be made to the donor's favorite charity. To sign the online guestbook visit
