Michael B. Bloom, 93, died on Wednesday, August 16, 2017. Born in Noble County, Indiana, Michael was the son of the late Stephen J. and Margaret (Oakes) Bloom. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy, and he was retired from the U.S. Postal Service. He was a member of Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church, and a lifetime member of the DAV. He is survived by his daughter, Mary Beth Bloom, of Fort Wayne, sons, Philip (Jessie), John (Jana), Kenneth (Cheryl) all of Fort Wayne, and David (Christina) of Greenwood, seven grandchildren, two step-grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren with one on the way, two step great-grandchildren; brother Don Bloom of Alpharetta, GA; along with many nieces and nephews. Michael was preceded in death by his wife 68 years, JoAnne Bloom; daughter Martha Bloom; brothers, Howard and Nick Bloom, sisters, Mary Esther Wantroba, and Luella Stuart. Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 am, Monday, August 21, 2007 at Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church with calling one hour prior, Fr. Mark Gurtner officiating. Calling at D.O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Rd, Sunday, August 20, 2017 from 2 pm to 6 pm. Entombment in Catholic Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Memorials may be made to the Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church Building Fund.
