Merle R. Grimm , 82, passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at Lutheran Hospital in Fort Wayne. Born in Boone, IA, and graduated from Drake University. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force during Korean Conflict; Merle moved to Ft. Wayne, IN in 1968 and was a CPA with Ernst and Young for 30 years, retiring in 1988. He belonged to various civic, professional and charitable organizations during his career; Merle enjoyed golf and was a long time member of Orchard Ridge Country Club. Surviving are his wife, Betty K. Grimm of Fort Wayne, IN; sons, Steven E. Grimm of Columbia City, IN; Bruce D. (Dyan Armstong) Grimm of Fort Wayne, IN; and grandsons, Spencer and Grant . Merle was preceded in death by his parents Roy and Clara Grimm, brother, Duane Grimm, daughter-in-law, Gwen Grimm. Service is 2:00 pm, Saturday February 27, 2016 at - D.O. McComb & Sons Foster Park Funeral Home, 6301 Fairfield Avenue with calling one hour prior. Calling also Friday, February 26, 2016, 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
