Melinda Lane, 42, went home to be with Jesus, Monday, October 30, 2017 after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born in Fort Wayne, IN, on February 15, 1975. Melinda was a graduate of North Side High School. In her spare time she enjoyed watching movies of all types. Her greatest role and accomplishment was being a loving and caring mother. She was a kind and generous woman, who made friends everywhere she went.
Surviving are her children; Desman, Alicia, and Peyton White; siblings; Randy (Rachelle) Lane, Christopher (Tammi) Lane, and Angie (Denny) Steele; and her parents, Randy and Judy Lane; as well as several Aunts, Uncle, Nieces, and Nephews who were a big part of her life. Melinda was preceded in death by her sister, Marlene Douglas. Funeral service will be 2:00pm, Saturday, November 4, 2017 at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road, with calling 1 hour prior. Visitation will also be at the funeral home on Friday, November 3, 2017, 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Burial will take place in Prairie Grove Cemetery, Fort Wayne, Indiana.
