Maxine M. Hoppel, 93, passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2018 at Sycamore Village in Fort Wayne. Born in Fort Wayne, Maxine worked as a secretary with Forest Park School for 40 years, retiring in 2007. She was a member of Forest Park United Methodist Church and volunteered at St. Joseph Hospital for many years. She enjoyed reading and knitting and liked to play bridge. Surviving are her children Barb (Kent) Weber of Huntertown, IN and James C. (Cindy Bigler) Hoppel of Carmel, IN; granddaughter, Megan (Ryan) Taylor of Indianapolis, IN; and great-granddaughter, Callie Taylor. Maxine was preceded in death by husband, James E. Hoppel; father, Elmer Rinehold; mother, Verda Rinehold; and sister, Virginia Hammer. Service is 1:30 pm, Saturday, June 9, 2018 at Lindenwood Cemetery, 2324 W. Main Street Fort Wayne. Calling at - D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue, Saturday, June 9, 2018, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm. Burial in Lindenwood Cemetery , Fort Wayne.
