Matthew Anthony Nyman, 40, passed away on April 24, 2017 in Indianapolis, IN. He was born in Fort Wayne, IN on January 15, 1977. Matt graduated from Bishop Luers High School and Indiana University - Bloomington where he obtained his bachelor's degree. Matt worked as Distribution Center Manager at Venture Logistics in Indianapolis. He was a loyal IU basketball, Colts football and Chicago Cubs baseball fan. He was a loving son, great brother, and exceptional uncle and godfather who bought the best gifts, taught the worst manners, and got the biggest laughs. "Nyman" will be greatly missed by friends as he never turned down a Captain and always turned a night out into a memorable story. Surviving are his father, Dave Nyman; siblings, Stephanie (Bruce) Schubert and Mary (Jeff) Novota; nephews and nieces, Zachary, Katelyn, Benjamin and Elizabeth; godparents, Ed and Carol Tenholder; and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins and longtime friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Nancy Nyman, and two of his namesakes, grandpa, Matt Nyman and uncle, Father Matt Nyman. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11:00am on Monday, May 1, 2017 at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 10700 Aboite Center Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46804 with calling 1 hour prior. Visitation will take place on Sunday, April 30, 2017 at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls, 8325 Covington Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46804 from 2-5pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Indiana University Foundation or to JDRF in support of his nephew, Zach, in his fight against Type 1 Diabetes
