Mary Louise Thomas, 92, passed away at Parkview Hospital Randallia on Friday, September 8, 2017. She was born on November 6, 1924, in Richmond, Indiana to the late Harvey and Vera (Fields) Green. She married James "Otis" Thomas on November 26, 1965. She went to school in Richmond, Indiana. Mary was a member of the Women's Bowling Association, and bowled until the age of 90. She loved watching golf, and baseball and enjoyed crocheting, knitting, reading, but most of all bargain shopping at the Mall. Laughter was her key to life. Survivors include daughters, Iris (Bud) Lairson, Pauletta (Henry) Stewart; brother Duane Green all of Richmond; step-daughters, Vickie Roberts of Fort Wayne, Joni (Jim) Winget of Richmond, Debbie Herrington of Utah, Sherry Thomas of Wisconsin; 15 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren, 7 great-great-grandchildren; along with a very special friend Zina Dawson of Ossian. Mary was preceded in death by her daughters, Julia Schankel, Ellen Olinger; son Tom Schankel; step-son, James D. Thomas; brothers, Richard Green, William "Buddy" Green; and first husband Caroll Schankel. Service is 1:30 pm, Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at D.O. McComb & Sons Lakeside Park Funeral Home, 1140 Lake Avenue with calling one hour prior. Calling also Monday, September 11, 2017, from 5 - 8 pm at the funeral home.
